It’s been six months since I blogged at last! Atleast from now on I hope that I’ll do weekly blog posts atleast based on the discipline I got at my workplace making Weekly Updates Presentation every week. Some new things I’ve explored based on last week(s)

  • Got a VPS from SkyServer Cloud Services India Ltd
    • a 4GB RAM, 40GB storage for 450 rupees/month, which was cheap enough with a cons that you have to babysit with them in Whatsapp and get the tickets done in “day time” only.

    • But I can get the payments done in UPI and no need of credit cards too!

  • ZNC IRC Bouncer
    • Finally, Got a IRC Bouncer after a long time :) So no more running Goguma in Android in background and getting disconnection issues while travelling.
  • Open Claw
    • Had setup with OpenRouter’s free-tier models & Gemini’s free-tiers, using from Telegram. Making it doing some basic stuff like reminders, expense trackers, voice mode with local whisper models.

    • There are lot of things to explore, setup

      • Fix context issues while switching models so that it can still continue the tasks.
      • Auto-switch models when it hits API limits and handle failure of cron jobs peacefully.
      • Develop some other Automated Workflows as well.
  • Wallabag
    • After reading shrini’s weekly blog, I also thought of setting up Wallabag which can save pages to read later as like Pocket but we can self host it. We can also ship it as RSS Feeds too.

    • So right now had setup with Miniflux, so I’ll get RSS from Wallabag to Miniflux. There’s some issue in syncing posts from the wallabag client in Android which I’ve to fix up.

  • In General, I also need to look upon using a reverse proxy such as Caddy, HTTPS & Self-Certification and Fix Other issues as well.

  • Also, interested to explore and host DNS Servers, Link Shortners, etc.,

GATE prep

  • Couldn’t do much of it. Just solved some 2025 EC Questions. Need to finish it off. It seems my Engineering Math knowledge has become rusty, I’ve to revise up Complex Analysis, Probability and Distribution Theory especially.

  • From a question about Ideal SNR of an ADC, I’m exploring it like how they developed such concepts did they conceptualized theoretically or it was formalized later? Reading this.

Other Stuff

  • Been hearing about this Pi agent is a incredibly simple and powerful agentic framework and it was used even within OpenClaw? Need to try it out? Even still I didn’t try aider which I installed few weeks back.

  • I think sometimes, I’m being stuck in a “GTD mode”, (Getting Things Done) where, I’ll try to install or setup something faster and i.e., I just blindly follow the instruction page without even checking the commands and also if there’s any error immediately ask LLMs, check intuitively whether it works and just copy paste it rather than understanding exactly what each does. I guess I need to slowdown a bit and spend sometime understand the commands well or atleast lookback the shell history and try to understand it once the installation is done.

  • emacs-rag-libsql
    • A package made by Prof. J Kitchin, who had also developed litdb, I was actually searching for one such where I can ingest my text files into a Vector DB and query it from LLMs and this seems to be a god send, have installed it, will try on my org notes and will let know.
  • Peter Thiel
    • what kinda guy he is, a Philosophy Graduate -> Law Clerk -> Derivatives Trader -> Hedge Fund AMC -> Paypal Investor -> Palantir and several other hedge funds’s Founder and the Paypal Mafia

    • Was looking about him after Jiang’s video where he discussed about him and his shift to Argentina (Why to Argentina particularly).

    • I’m more getting to know that you don’t need any degree to create a system (business for e.g.) and generate tokens out of it (i.e., money ofc) just have a vision about future, manage talents, make it into reality and find interesting ways to marketing it. i.e., create a money pipeline.

    • Will give a shot on reading the 0 to 1 book, which’s basically notes of his Stanford Entreupreneurship class.

  • Greg Egan

    • Got to know about him from #lobsters IRC chat. He seems to be a hardcore sci-fi writer based on reviews on Reddit and others, will also keep his novels in reading wishlist too.

    • He’s a Australian Mathmatecian, Programmer and Novelist. He’s also in Fedi!

  • Org-Social
    • Had setup Org-Social too after reading shrini also had setup it here’s the url to mine.
  • Literal Club
    • seems to be a active community of book readers kinda like social network amongst ourselves where we can comment follow share books, reviews, etc.,

    • Here’s my profile

  • rsibreak
    • Got to know from Gemini after asking for some timer/reminder apps in KDE.

    • It reminds to take some short breaks (by default 20s break after every 10 minutes and 2 minutes break after every hour).

Do let me know your comments, feedback, etc., in Mastodon/Org-Social !
